We'd like to introduce ourselves and share our story with you. We are husband and wife team Gene Rodman and Tracy Shaw.

We are your maternity and baby portrait specialists!

Gene has had a fascination with photography since viewing the wonders of Yosemite as a teenager. He received his photography degree from Sierra College in California before moving to Montana where he then met me (his wife Tracy) and where we are now living.

About 5 years ago we decided to sell the house we had just built and start all over again. This time building it on 20 acres with only 1 neighbor. After the house was finished (Gene's idea of finished) we decided we then needed to make our dreams a reality and build a photography gallery on our property too. It was just far enough out of town to enjoy the view of the Beartooth Mountains and the horses in the field next to us.

Next thing we knew Gene's daughter in California and my daughter in Montana were both pregnant!!! Little Colin arrived first in California and Baby Bella was born 6 weeks later in Montana. We now feel so blessed to have them in our lives. We just can't get enough of them.

Holding his newly born granddaughter in his hands changed Gene forever.....

Gene then went to visit the his first grandchild in California.

Being the photographer he is, he convinced his daughter and son in law to let him take tons of pictures of their new baby and he convinced them to also be in the portraits and do skin on skin (parents shirts off with naked baby cuddled into them).

Wow! The portraits turned out stunning so we got busy creating all sorts of collages, framed prints, slideshows, notecards, you name it to show him off.

Since Bella lived so close she quickly became our newest baby model. Every chance we got we put her in the studio and began taking hundreds of photographs. Her Daddy (being the good son in law he is) was constantly recruited to be in the portraits with her to keep her calm and get her to smile.

The results were so amazing and we had so much fun creating them that a light bulb went off in our heads and we thought other people would love to have the same type of portraits created of their babies. So we decided to invest all our energies into perfecting our baby photography. A few months later we debued our year-long baby plan to new mommys and daddys. The response has been fantastic!

We are so happy to be doing something we truly love and at the same time provide families with high quality fine art portraits that capture the essence of their babies. It is our goal to become our client's family photographer and capture all the stages of their lives for years to come.

Our year-long Baby Plan consists of 4 portrait sessions taken at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. Each session you get to pick your favorite pose then at the end of the year we put them all together in one panel and present it to you. It is ready to be framed and hung on your wall for you to enjoy for generations.

Your baby will change so much in their first year. Once you see your baby's growth on your baby panel you won't believe how much they have changed and you'll be so happy you chose to have this done. Their personality as well as their growth will be right there for you to see.

We make it really easy for you and your family. We've taken all the stress out of the portrait sessions and we guide you every step of the way so you don't have to worry about anything.
